Papergirl Hamburg wishes you a happy Christmas time! In autumn this year we had our second delivery-action, it was big fun and we reached a few people with a nice dose of art ... here are some impressions:

Papergirl Norwich!

Ello ello!

First heard of Papergirl only last summer and the more I looked into it the more I knew I had to be part of it, so thought to set one up in our fine city of Norwich!

We will be sending out the address to receive all submissions in January 2012!
Meanwhile we're looking out for exhibition venues to hold Papergirl art hopefully as early as March!
So please get creatively working and ready to submit your fine artworks for the new year!

Papergirl Dublin

HELLO!

After over 2 years of thinking about making an Irish Papergirl, I have finally decided to make a move and bring Papergirl Dublin into the world.

So far, nothing is concrete. Hoping to have the exhibition and Aktion Day in June or July 2012.

There is a Tumblog, a Twitter and a Facebook page for Papergirl Dublin, if you want to follow any of them it would be great.

A submission address and deadline will be set in the next few weeks, so do check back.

Papergirl San Francisco - Open Call for Entires!!!

Calling all Artists, Makers, Doers!

It’s that time of year again! We invite you (and friends!) to participate in the 2011 Papergirl San Francisco - complete with art-wielding bike riders and bike-riding artists! Send us your art, tell your friends and foes, and we'll see you in October with tires full of air and roll-tops full of artwork, ripe for the giving.

While organizing Papergirl Iasi, we came up with the idea of also creating something beautiful for our Lady. Though, we launched a fisheye portrait series at the second edition of Workshop in the Garden, that took place on the 18th of June in Acaju Cafe. We will continue this story only if you promise to show up at our next session of workshops too! The more, the merrier!

It's Papergirl Cardiff Day!

It's here at last - today we are going out onto the streets of Cardiff to give away all the amazing free art sent to us!  So a quick reminder - cyclists are leaving The Printhaus in Canton at 2pm to ride through Cardiff with rolls of art, and you could be the lucky recipient of an original piece of artwork.  Don't forget to come out this afternoon and support Papergirl and join in the fun - you could end up with something beautiful to take home!

We'll be finishing near to Cardiff Castle around 3pm, and everyone is welcome to return with us to The Printhaus who are hosting the Artisan Beer Company's Micro Beer Festival today till 9pm.

Papergirl Iasi is back in business

I’m sure you’ve all heard papergirliasi.com doesn’t exist anymore. But don’t worry, nothing went to waste, it turned into papergirliasi.ro. Still raw, it will certainly receive its finishing touch before long.

On the 28th of May, we launched the workshop session in Acaju Cafe’s garden. We drew and made collages out of old magazines and craftily glued them with a slice of imagination. As for the paperboys, they came up with really nice pieces of art, while enjoying a cold beer.

The freshness was brought by Rozina Steigmann with her brand-new style Papergirl bracelet which we all loved.

Lots of workshops to come as soon as possible.

Everyone is invited!

Half-term Papergirl Print Workshop for Children!

Our friends at The Printhaus are going the extra mile in half-term week and are running two print-making workshops for children during the half-term holiday!  It's the perfect chance for your children to make some art for Papergirl Cardiff, and a great opportunity to use the fantastic facilities at The Printhaus.

There will be two sessions on Thursday 2nd June: 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.  The cost per session will be only £6 for a parent and child - each additional child will cost £2. There are 8 child places per session, so please sign up now by emailing us: papergirlcardiff@gmail.com

This is a super half-term activity, so please do take advantage of this opportunity to check out our Papergirl partner, and get your kids into print-making!

Papergirl Cardiff Submissions Deadline Extended!

We are pleased to let you know that we are extending the Papergirl Cardiff submissions deadline by 1 week. Why? Well, a couple of reasons really. First of all, we realise it's a busy time of year and a lot of people are struggling to find time to get their submissions done. Second, the coming half-term and bank holiday might give people more time. And finally...we would love to get even more submissions! Our aim is for Papergirl Cardiff to be a fun event for as many people as possible so the more submissions we get the more surprised and happy people there will be!

So you now have until Saturday 4th of June to get your submissions in.

Don't forget, if you want to drop-off artwork on Saturdays you can now leave it at the Chapter Arts Centre box office.

Papergirl Cardiff exhibition confirmed!

Papergirl Cardiff will be the first Papergirl event here in Wales and one of many this year in the UK. Organised by members of social design collective ThinkArk and by social enterprise Cardiff Cycle Workshop, we hope to bring some art and fun to the streets of Cardiff!

We are pleased to be able to announce that will be holding our exhibition at The Printhaus, from 11th to 18th June. Location and contact details can be found here http://www.theprinthaus.org.

The Printhaus is a new printmaking workshop here in Cardiff,  whose goal is to foster and develop printmaking as a vibrant and progressive artform. We are delighted to be able to join up with them and hold our exhibition in their fantastic space. It's going to be great!
